Holocaust Survivor Jack Waksal

  • An evening of courage and inspiration with Jack Waksal, 100, survivor of four camps & two daring escapes from the clutches of the Nazis.

    The event will feature a memorial for the Bibas family, with a tribute delivered by a local family member.

    Jack Waksal was born in Poland in 1924. At age 15, the Nazis invaded his hometown and forced his family into the ghettos and labor camps. He narrowly escaped death six times, including a daring escape when ordered by the Nazis to kneel by a mass grave. He  pulled the guard down with him into the grave and the quickly climbed out and ran for his life. He was recaptured and sent to four different camps. After being recaptured and sent to four different camps, he made a final escape in September 1944, hiding in a forest until his liberation in January 1945.

    Be sure not to miss this incredible evening and opportunity to hear testimony from one of the last few remaining holocaust survivors who can share their story.
