An Elegant Evening of Art, Music and Wine to Benefit IDF Wounded Soldiers
Coral Gables, FL – Chabad of Downtown Coral Gables invites the entire community to “Art and Heart", a Jewish Art Exhibition on Sunday, March 10th, from 5:00 pm to 7:30 pm. This evening promises to be an enchanting blend of artistic expression, melodious music, fine kosher wines, sushi and desserts; as well as a powerful journey of resilience and support for the soldiers in Israel.
The event will showcase the talent of local Jewish artists such as Shira Shen, Rivka Krinsky, Henya Chein, Shlome Hayun, Eva Bibas, King David Art Gallery from Jerusalem, Arielle Zorger and more. Guests will have the opportunity to peruse and purchase an eclectic array of artworks including paintings and Judaica pieces. “As our community explores the beautiful gallery and unique Judaica, they will experience more than just art. It will be an incredible evening of inspiration, music, Jewish pride, and most importantly a demonstration of support for our heroic IDF soldiers who have truly risked it all for Am Yisrael.”, says Liza Birchansky, co-chair of the event.
Live music will fill the air, providing a soul-stirring backdrop to the evening. “But the true heartbeat of the event lies in the personal testimonies of Yishay Perez and Uri Birnbaum, two courageous IDF soldiers who have faced adversity in service to Israel”, shares Tzvia Wexler, director of Beit Halochem USA, an organization supporting Israel’s wounded soldiers. “Yishay, a combat soldier from Duvdevan unit, (known as Fauda) injured in Jenin at the tender age of 22, and Uri, a Golani patrol officer wounded in the current war in Gaza, truly embody the resilience and spirit of the Israeli people.”
In addition to the artistic and culinary treats, there will be a drawing for a beautiful custom Israel-themed jewelry piece and several works of art.
Admission to this event is $25 in advance and $36 at the door. Sponsorship opportunities available. It will take place at Belmont Village Coral Gables, 4111 Salzedo St, Coral Gables. RSVP at ChabadGables.com/art. Doors open at 5:00 pm with music, art and refreshments. Soldiers will share their journey and personal accounts at 6 pm. Limited capacity.
Proceeds from ticket sales and the drawing will benefit the IDF wounded soldiers of Beit Halochem, providing vital support in their journey to recovery.
